Helen has been working as a Registered Dietitian for over 25 years. She graduated from Kings College, University of London with an honours degree in Nutrition in 1984 and qualified as a Dietitian in 1985. She currently manages the Dietetics team of 20 dietitians within Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and her career has covered all aspects of clinical treatment and community practice. In the commercial world, Helen has worked as a Nutritionist within a leading PR agency (Burson-Marstellar) for 3 years providing evidence-based nutrition counsel and expert direction for the PR campaigns of global food companies. Her main areas for treating private patients are heart health, high cholesterol, high blood pressure (hypertension), obesity, diabetes and symptoms of insulin resistance, woman's health (PCOS, menopause, pregnancy including twins and triplets, bone health), children's nutrition (weaning, faltering growth and allergy). She is currently on the Expert Group of the NICE Quality Standard for Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH), having been an original member of the working party for the NICE guidance Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (published CG71Aug08). Helen is freindly, approachable and supportive with her clients and has been treating private patients for over 10 years
