Profile

Dr Sam Kaddoura is a Consultant Cardiologist, practicing at Chelsea and Westminster and the Royal Brompton Hospital. Taking a holistic view specialises in all aspects of general adult cardiology. He has many publications in international journals (including Lancet, Circulation, New England Journal of Medicine) and has written several medical textbooks. He has been Associate Editor of European Heart Journal and the author of Echo Made Easy (2nd edition 2009), an international bestseller. Dr Kaddoura is a university examiner and educational supervisor for medical students and doctors, as well as a member of international data safety monitoring boards for the development of new cardiovascular drugs. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the European Society of Cardiology, the American College of Cardiology and a Member of the British Cardiovascular Society. Dr Kaddoura is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine, London and is Honorary Consultant Cardiologist to the Royal Hospital Chelsea. He specialises in all aspects of general adult cardiology. A particular clinical speciality is echocardiography, in which he has an international reputation.

He takes a holistic view and is committed to providing the utmost level of close personal patient care, with discussion, listening and communication. Although primarily a clinician, he has a strong academic record with many publications in international journals (including Lancet, Circulation, New England Journal of Medicine) and has written several medical textbooks. As well as being a recognised expert in performing echo, Dr Kaddoura has written Echo Made Easy (2nd edition 2009), an international best seller. This book is the recognised essential training manual for doctors, medical students and paramedics (and is sometimes of interest to his patients!) It has been translated into Chinese, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese and Polish.
