Profile
Dr John Janssen is Clinical Lead for TIA, Deputy Lead for Stroke; Stroke Thrombolysis at Charing Cross Hospital. Dr Janssen qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1993. His research for his MD thesis into familial Alzheimer's Disease was performed at St Mary's Hospital and the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square. His specialist neurology training was at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, the Regional Neurosciences Unit at the Royal Free Hospital and the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He was appointed to the consultant staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the Royal Brompton Hospital and the Hammersmith Hospitals in 2005. His clinical interests include all aspects of neurology, but particularly TIA, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, dementia and headache. His research interests are similar and he has published a number of articles in learned journals.
