Decontamination Unit

Introduction

The Decontamination Unit includes Sterile Services and the Endoscope Decontamination Unit. The service operates Mon–Fri, 8am–9pm and Sat, 8am–4pm, and has a 24/7 on-call service. The department provides decontamination of surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes to all theatres, wards, clinics and departments of the Trust and to outside customers.
