Care of the Elderly
Introduction
The Care of the Elderly department has four consultants all of whom hold specialty accreditation in geriatrics and general medicine and provide a wide range of services. These services are centred at our Medical Day Unit with six day case beds and six consulting rooms. The unit cares for all medical day cases such as blood transfusions, chemotherapy and haematological endocrine investigations.
