Council of Governors
A driving force behind NHS Foundation Trusts is the active participation of local members of the public, patients and staff through the Council of Governors. The involvement of governors brings improvements to the quality of patient care.
Members of our NHS Foundation Trust also have the opportunity to stand for election to the Council of Governors which helps to shape the services we provide and reflects the needs and priorities of our patients, staff and local communities.
Our membership totals more than 14,000 people.
The latest elections to the Council of Governors were held in November 2010—click here to see the results.
