Flu symptoms and visiting the hospital

The mild winter and the current cold weather means we are seeing an increase in patients being admitted with flu-related illnesses. It is extremely important that those visiting the hospital protect themselves and our patients so we are asking people not to visit the hospital if they have flu or flu-like symptoms.

Equally, if you have had vomiting or diarrhoea, please do not visit the hospital until at least 48 hours after symptoms have passed—and please remember to wash your hands with soap and water before and after visiting the hospital.
