Sister Sharon Marsh, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Urogynaecology (pictured 5th left with her team), retired from the Trust at the end of March.

Sharon qualified at Guy’s Hospital in 1981 and, after completing her midwifery training, took time out to look after her two boys. She joined Chelsea and Westminster in 1999, first as a return-to-nursing staff nurse in gynaecology outpatients, then training in urogynacology, advancing to lead nurse and CNS.

Sharon has a well-deserved reputation for excellence in the urogynaecological community and is known nationally for her innovation of urogynaecological nursing assessments.

Her lead consultant Mr Michael Stafford said:  “We have been blessed to have had Sharon working with us for 17 years and we are all going to miss her terribly. She is universally adored by her patients and colleagues. We all wish her well in her retirement.”

Sharon is going to divide her time between London and Herefordshire in the future, as well as doing some project work at West Middlesex University Hospital.
