A new non-executive director has been appointed by the Council of Governors to serve the expanded population now covered by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Nick Gash, former Chairman of West Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, has been appointed as a voting non-executive director for a period of three years which began on 1 November 2015.

Chairman Sir Thomas Hughes-Hallett said: “I am delighted that the Council of Governors continue to make such strong non-executive appointments which will greatly complement what is an already experienced and talented Board leading the strategic vision of our Trust.

“Nick comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and ability, coupled with a great passion for the values that our organisation, with the two hospital sites, at West Middlesex and on the Fulham Road,  stand for and I know he will help ensure that we continue to provide the very best care and experience to both staff and patients.”

Sir John Baker has formally retired from his post as a voting non-executive director having served four years. Sir Thomas said: “I would like to acknowledge the significant contribution that Sir John Baker has made and wish him the very best for his retirement in the knowledge that the Foundation Trust he has helped to develop has a long and happy future ahead of it.”
