St Stephen’s Aids Trust (SSAT) and St Stephen’s Clinical Research (SSCR) have made the decision to cease their activities. The PrEP trial currently being managed by SSCR will be transferred to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on 1 June. This will be a seamless transition with no expected impact for any patients or participants in the trial. The Trust is fully committed to continuing SSCR’s and SSAT’s important research and ensuring their legacy will endure into the future.

Lesley Watts, CEO of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We would like to pay tribute to SSAT and SSCR for all of their groundbreaking sexual health work, which has seen them lead much of the research in HIV and sexual health over the last three decades.”
