We are delighted to announce that Tanya Lewis, Paediatric Administrator with the Paediatric Therapy Team has been nominated for a NHS Unsung Hero Award. Tanya has worked at Chelsea and Westminster for 16 years and within Paediatrics for 15 of those years.

The Unsung Hero Award by GoToJobBoard serves to unite the unsung heroes of the healthcare community with a focus on non-clinical staff. NHS Staff are invited to nominate a colleague who has gone above and beyond in their role. The award recognises them for their contribution to patient care and excellent service.

On being nominated for the award Tanya said “It really is a pleasure to be nominated. I am incredibly fortunate to work with such a supportive and wonderful team. I couldn’t do what I do without them. I have been in this department for a long time and it’s about team work. In fact some of our patients feel like family as I have known them since they were born.”

Tanya was nominated by her colleagues who noted “she works relentlessly hard to ensure the wellbeing of everyone who works within the department. She looks after far more than just their administration needs and is extremely caring and supportive. All of the patients attending the department are warmly welcomed by her and she often goes above and beyond to help them in any way that she can.”

Congratulations Tanya on your nomination and we look forward to the award ceremony in Manchester on the 3 Feb.
