The UK leg of the Tour de France begins on Saturday 5 July and travels through the London area on Monday 7 July.

The route does not go near Chelsea and Westminster Hospital but may impact travelling to the Trust.

Many parts of the London Underground are located within or directly along the route of the race but there are no planned TfL Tube closures along the route.

Bus services in and around the route will be subject to diversion or will terminate earlier than usual to avoid the road closures.

Extensive road closures will begin at 10am, with roads reopening as quickly as possible once the Tour has passed through and it is safe to do so. The road closures will result in displaced traffic and other roads in London will be busier than usual.  Over view maps can be found here:

If you are working or visiting the hospital on Monday 7 July please ensure you check your journey in advance and allow extra time or plan an alternative route if necessary.

Please also be aware that from 6 July cash will no longer be accepted on TfL buses.
