Please be aware that Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed that a strike by London Underground staff is expected to go ahead from 9pm on Tuesday 4 February, ending at 9:30pm on Thursday 6 February.

This is the first planned all-out strike by members of the RMT and TSSA unions since 2010 and is expected to cause widespread disruption. South London trams are also expected to be affected. As with the 2010 dispute, there may be a knock-on effect for buses and taxis, especially in central London, with people seeking alternative methods of travel.

Patients

If you have an appointment scheduled during the strike period please ensure you plan an alternative route if you were going to use the underground. You also need to take into account that roads may be more congested than usual so allow extra time when driving or using buses. If you think you will not be able to make your appointment please contact the appointments centre on 020 3315 6666.

Staff

Please ensure you plan your journey during the strike period.  If you travel by tube you will need to plan and alternative route. You also need to take into account that roads may be more congested than usual so allow extra time when driving or using buses.

Mainline trains will be running as normal, but busier than usual, and alternative routes may be possible. Underground trains should be running normally in time for the Friday morning rush hour.

If you think you have a major problem getting to work please discuss this with your line manager as soon as possible.
