Wednesday 12 March is No Smoking Day - many people choose this day to break their nicotine addiction and our stop smoking service will be here to help.

On No Smoking Day, stop smoking specialist, Eva Gates will be on hand to offer advice in the main hospital atrium between 11.00am and 3.00pm.

Our stop smoking service is available for patients, staff and visitors and offers support with breaking the habit as well as nicotine replacement therapies or Champix.

The stop smoking service walk-in clinic is every Wednesday between 4.45pm and 5.45pm in the chest clinic in Outpatients Department 2. You can contact the service on 0208 321 5188 (or contact the Hounslow Stop Smoking Service on 020 8630 3255 for other venues in the Borough).

Eva said: “We offer a dedicated, friendly and successful service, catering for everyone’s individual needs. Patients are supported for six weeks and are recommended medication of their choice for up to three months.  We encourage people to access our service a week before they intend to quit so that they can be as prepared as possible. If they relapse, we are here to help get them back on track.”
