On Thursday 27 February members of the Emergency Department (ED) team and Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity gave a Medicine for Medicine presentation outlining our plans for the £10m redevelopment of our ED.

100% of attendees found the event useful and the content easy to understand and 80% would recommend Medicine for Members seminars to their friends or family. Comments included: “I found the event very professional and informative and the speakers knowledgeable and receptive.”

In 2012/13 we were the best performing trust in the country for the four hour waiting time target and we want our ED environment in which patients are seen to be of the same high standard. Preliminary work on the ED redevelopment is underway with the construction work to commence this summer.

The next Medicine for Members seminar is on End of Life Care and will take place on Thursday 20 March at 5:30pm in the postgraduate lecture theatre on the lower ground floor of the hospital.
