Diarrhoea and vomiting—help us protect our patients and staff

05 December 2014

It is that time of year when there is an increase in incidences of viral diarrhoea and vomiting both in the community and in the hospital.

It is that time of year when there is an increase in incidences of viral diarrhoea and vomiting both in the community and in the hospital. If someone comes into the hospital with these symptoms it could cause an outbreak across our services which could affect patient care.

To protect our patients we would like to ask you to not visit  the hospital if you have diarrhoea and / or vomiting and stay away for a full 72 hours after your symptoms have ceased. Do not bring children, friends or family to the hospital if they have had D&V with in the last 72 hours.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
