On the run for Pluto

Two runners are taking on the challenge of the London Marathon in April to raise money for The Pluto Appeal—a fundraising drive by the Children’s Hospital Trust Fund to buy London's first robot to perform delicate and complex operations on children and babies.

Two runners are taking on the challenge of the London Marathon in April to raise money for The Pluto Appeal—a fundraising drive by the Children’s Hospital Trust Fund to buy London's first robot to perform delicate and complex operations on children and babies.
Both runners have personal reasons for taking part—Will Sherwood is a consultant paediatric surgeon at Chelsea and Westminster and will be one of the surgeons trained to use the new robotic surgical system. James Kelly is a parent of a child who needed surgery at the hospital, and his wife Jacqui is a paediatric nurse at the Trust.
Together they have already raised more than £4,500 for the Pluto Appeal and are keen to raise more to help reach the target of £1.5m to buy the system.

You can also show your support by attending a fundraising event at the Hollywood Arms, Hollywood Road, SW10 on Thursday 21 February at 7pm. There will be live music and you can hear Will’s thoughts about Pluto and why he’s taking on the challenge of the London Marathon.
The Pluto Appeal has raised more than £1m to date and another £470,000 is needed.
