Following a rigorous assessment, West Middlesex University Hospital has achieved the highest standard for patient safety.

Following a rigorous assessment, West Middlesex University Hospital has achieved the highest standard for patient safety.

The assessment was undertaken by the NHS Litigation Authority and West Middlesex is now one of the few trusts in England to have achieved their level 3 standards for both maternity services and acute services.

The Trust first attained the level 3 standard for its maternity service in 2010 and it was reassessed at this level in 2012. It has now achieved the same standard across the whole hospital.

Chief Executive Dame Jacqueline Docherty said: “This is excellent news and a huge achievement for West Middlesex University Hospital. I would like to thank all the staff involved. This clearly shows our commitment to achieving the highest possible standards of patient safety.”
