Friends and Family Test results—January

The Department of Health Friends and Family Test results for January showed that overall 94% of patients said they would recommend Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to their friends and family.

Moving forward, the Friends and Family Test will use a new scoring system which was introduced by the Department of Health to demonstrate the ‘very best’ achieving hospitals in England.

The score calculates a proportion of patients who would strongly recommend the hospital minus those who would not recommend it, or who are indifferent.

Hospitals will score between -100 and +100 and a score greater than zero means that patients would recommend the hospital (the higher the score the better).

Chelsea and Westminster’s score for January was 13.
