If you are a Foundation Trust member, you can have your say on the future of your hospital by nominating yourself as a Governor with elections taking place next month.

Elections will be held in the following constituencies of the Council of Governors:

  • Patient constituency—one seat
  • Public constituency—one seat from each of the following constituencies:
    • Hammersmith and Fulham area 1
    • Kensington and Chelsea area 1
  • Staff constituency—one seat from the following class:
    • Management

The deadline for Foundation Trust members to nominate themselves for election is 24 May.

Ballot papers will be posted to members registered in these constituencies on 13 June. The deadline for completed voting papers to be received by the Returning Officer is 4 July with the results published on this website on 8 July.

Chairman Professor Sir Christopher Edwards said: “The Council of Governors is a vital decision making part of our organisation, helping us make sure that the decisions we make around care reflect the health and well-being needs of the communities we serve.

“Being a Councillor is not a time consuming role but the impact you could make as an involved and active member of the Chelsea and Westminster team could be tremendous for your community.

“If you are interested then I’d encourage you to read the Governors Pack we have prepared especially for this election to give you a better insight into the role that you could play in helping to shape healthcare at your local hospital.”
