Pregnancy and natural birth open day

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital will be hosting a pregnancy and natural birth open day on Wednesday 25 January.

The event is free and will provide women with the opportunity to meet our midwives, talk to experts about their pregnancy and learn about available birth options.

There will be a chance to see a range of equipment that can be used during birth, including the increasingly popular birthing pool and our new ‘multi-track’ system which helps women to stay active and adopt a range of upright positions during labour.

Visitors will also be able to find out about the full range of alternative therapies that we use on the Maternity Unit, such as aromatherapy.

Don’t miss out on the chance to see our Birthing Unit, which is available for women who want one-to-one care by midwives and a birth in a home-like setting. The Birthing Unit—suitable for women with uncomplicated pregnancies—includes private rooms which have been designed to give women and their partners a low-tech, serene atmosphere.
