The Peter Jones snowman, as featured in this year’s John Lewis Christmas TV advert ‘The Snowman’s Journey’, has been donated to Chelsea Children’s Hospital at Chelsea and Westminster.

The snowman has made its home in the Peter Jones store at Sloane Square during the festive season and will be coming to Chelsea Children’s Hospital on Christmas Eve.

It will be touring the wards from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day, giving children who are in hospital over Christmas the chance to have their photo taken with the snowman.

Tony Wheeler, managing director at Peter Jones, said: “The snowman has been a real hit with customers, children and adults alike, and we are delighted to donate it to such a good home in time for Christmas. We wish the patients, families and staff of Chelsea Children’s Hospital a very happy Christmas.”

Laura Conti, a nurse in Chelsea Children’s Hospital, said: “We are so excited to have the snowman on our wards. It is a way of bringing magic and fun to children and their siblings, especially those in hospital on Christmas Day.”
