16 February 2011

The hospital has revised the restricted visiting arrangements which have been in place to help protect our patients.

The hospital has revised the restricted visiting arrangements which have been in place to help protect our patients.

The majority of visiting arrangements throughout the hospital have now returned to normal, however restrictions remain in place for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Children aged under 11 are one of the most vulnerable groups of patients at higher risk of contracting respiratory illnesses and in order to protect children and babies, the hospital has restricted visiting arrangements to NICU as follows:

  • Visiting times remain the same
  • NO children visitors are allowed
  • Any person who is feeling unwell (eg flu symptoms, heavy cold, diarrhoea/vomiting) should not visit NICU

Thank you for your co-operation and understanding during this time.
