Find out how we are really doing—new transparency section of website launched today

28 November 2011

Today Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust launches a new Transparency section of its website with information for patients and the public about everything from infection and mortality rates to waiting times in A&E.

Today Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust launches a new Transparency section of its website with information for patients and the public about everything from infection and mortality rates to waiting times in A&E.

The Transparency section—which invites patients to find out how we are really doing—has been developed in partnership with Foundation Trust Governors who are elected representatives of patients, members of the public and staff.

Heather Lawrence (Chief Executive) says: “I believe this is the right thing to do for two reasons. Firstly, patients can only exercise choice if they have access to the information they need to inform that choice and secondly, transparency will increase public trust in the NHS.”

The information published today on our website is just the start.

We intend to develop the new Transparency section over time so that it becomes a comprehensive source of information about Chelsea and Westminster for patients and the public.
