The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has commenced work to improve the public areas in front of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and greatly enhance the environment around the hospital for patients and visitors.

The project will include the replacement of the footpath and changes to the drop-off area to help improve the appearance of the streetscape and make it easier for patients to access the hospital building. It is expected to be completed by the summer.

Work will begin on Wednesday 24 February to remove the wall which creates the current drop-off area in front of the hospital and this is expected to be completed by Friday 5 March.

During this time, the drop-off area at the front of the hospital will be closed and relocated to the car park where stays of thirty minutes or less will be free of charge. Patients and visitors will need to validate their parking tickets at main reception before departure.

Any enquiries about the project should be directed to Lis Loebner on 020 7361 2802 or Andy Pang on 020 7341 5783.
