Update—disruption to services due to severe weather conditions

03 February 2009

Due to the severe weather conditions we are not able to operate all our services as normal although we expect to be fully operational tomorrow.

Due to the severe weather conditions we are not able to operate all our services as normal although we expect to be fully operational tomorrow.

Operations
We are in the process of rescheduling any operations that were cancelled and we will be contacting patients to offer them another date. However, if you have any concerns or would like further information please contact our switchboard on 020 8746 8000 and they will be able to direct you to the appropriate department.

We are expecting a high volume of calls so please bear with us while we attempt to deal with your call.

Outpatient appointments
This morning some outpatient departments are operating a reduced service but by this afternoon ALL outpatient departments will be operating as normal. Tomorrow all services will be operating as normal. If you are a patient and are concerned please contact the relevant department for further information. Telephone numbers for each department can be found by going to our Services section.

Our Emergency Department is prioritising life-threatening and more serious incidents. Patients without life threatening illnesses should contact their GP surgeries or community services rather than phoning for an ambulance. We would advise everyone, especially vulnerable people, to stay at home and keep warm until the bad weather has passed.
