56 Dean Street, the Trust’s HIV and sexual health centre in Soho, was recently shortlisted for a top international design award.

The centre, which opened to patients in March this year, was shortlisted in the public sector category of the FX International Interior Design Awards 2009.

56 Dean Street has proved popular with patients—there has been a 36% increase in patient numbers at 56 Dean Street from 1 April–31 October compared to the same period last year when services were still based at the Victoria Clinic in the South Westminster Centre.

The award entry was co-ordinated by the Trust’s partners, Area Sq, who worked with clinical staff and other key stakeholders including patients to create a state-of-the-art environment at 56 Dean Street.

Winners of the awards, which are organised by FX magazine, were announced on 24 November.
