Did you make a New Year’s resolution to get fit in 2008?

Why not enter the Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity London Duathlon—and raise money for the hospital?

You are guaranteed a place in the Duathlon if you register by the end of February—and the money you fundraise will go to the charity. Visit www.thelondonduathlon.com TODAY to register.

Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity, which supports initiatives to improve healthcare for patients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, is the official charity partner of the London Duathlon—all funds raised will benefit YOUR hospital.

The duathlon—a run followed by a bike ride followed by another run – will take place on Sunday 14 September in the beautiful surroundings of Richmond Park.

So what do you need to know about the duathlon?

  • You can take part in the duathlon either as individual or as a member of a team
  • You can tackle one of two distances—‘Fun’ (5km run, 10km cycle, 5km run) or ‘Challenge’ (9km run, 20 km cycle, 5km run)
  • You can walk, run and cycle at your own pace
  • If you have children, they can take part in a kids distance duathlon

Diane Yeo, Chief Executive of Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity, says: “Funds raised by the duathlon will go towards Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity’s £900,000 CT Scanner Appeal to buy a new scanner for the hospital to speed up diagnosis and treatment, and other deserving projects.

“We very much hope that staff at Chelsea and Westminster and everyone involved with the hospital will join us by either taking part themselves or sponsoring someone.”

In addition to the CT Scanner Appeal, Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity has also funded:

  • Pharmacy robot
  • Incubators for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • ‘You are the difference’ customer care training for all Trust staff
  • Regular live music performances and visual arts exhibitions
  • Hospital Open Day in May 2007
