Calling all Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust members—help us improve patient care

Safe and effective patient care is our top priority at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. That’s why we have developed a range of systems to monitor the safety and quality of patient care, an area of work known as clinical governance.

Safe and effective patient care is our top priority at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

That’s why we have developed a range of systems to monitor the safety and quality of patient care, an area of work known as clinical governance.

The Trust Board has a Clinical Governance Assurance Committee and we are now seeking to recruit a lay member for this committee from patients or members of the public who are Foundation Trust members.

All members are encouraged to apply if they feel they can contribute to the work of the committee regardless of background, race, disability or sexuality.

As a lay member of this committee, you will help give the patient’s perspective on all matters relating to patient safety and quality of clinical care in the hospital, and help us shape our approach to clinical governance.

Meetings of the Clinical Governance Assurance Committee are held during the working day – between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday – and will require the lay member to read supporting papers.

There will be a selection process and interview for this position. Being a lay member is a voluntary and unpaid position but reasonable expenses for travel and other costs will be reimbursed.

Members interested in becoming a lay member of this important committee can request an information/application pack by Friday, April 21 2006.
