HIV Conversations: Jane Bruton talks about HIV

Leading HIV nurse Jane Bruton will be interviewed for the last ‘HIV Conversations’ event in 2016. 

‘The HIV Conversations’ invites a different interviewee to speak about their experiences of stigma, love and wellbeing when living with HIV. The event is free, and open to anybody who wishes to listen. It’s designed to reduce stigma and combat isolation by spreading awareness through honest dialogue.

Jane has been a nurse for 38 years and has specialised in HIV care since 1986.  She has worked with HIV patients in rural Uganda before the availability of ART’s and teaches nurses in South Eastern Europe and North Africa with NURSETRI. Jane is currently working as a clinical research nurse in the Patient Experience Research Centre at Imperial College where she is conducting a qualitative study into living with HIV.

‘The HIV Conversations’ will take place in the MediCinema (3 Floor, Lift Bank C) at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Wednesday 7 December at 5pm and all are invited to join.
