The Metropolitan Police teamed up with Transport for London and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea BKC Road Safety and Trust Travel Plan team for a cycle security and safety event today between 12 noon and 2:30pm outside the front of the hospital.

This was a bumper event for our budding cyclists to:

  • exchange places with a lorry driver and witness their vision of cyclists from the cab
  • get bicycles security marked
  • have a health check on their cycle
  • talk about free services the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea offer to cyclists—cycle training, Dr Bike sessions, bike maintenance courses
  • take away free bike lights and seat covers
