Easyhealth provide easy read information about a variety of medical conditions and general information about your care.

Full of Life

Full of Life is a local charity that supports and provides services to our parent carers and their disabled children/adults. They run a centre for young adults with complex needs, operating 6 days a week with a focus on communication and personal development, new experiences and learning new skills.

Services they provide include bimonthly parent forums, free advocacy for Children and Adult services, free independent advice on health, benefits, housing assessments, social services, respite, play provisos and day opportunities.

Mencap

This charity works with people with a learning disability to change laws and services, challenge prejudice and directly support thousands of people to live their lives as they choose.

Examples of their work include:

  • Supporting people with a learning disability to get a job or take a college course, or help them find a place of their own to live
  • Offering advice about things like respite care, individual budgets or transport services
  • Running residential/day care services and leisure groups that are so important to so many people with a learning disability, and their families and supporters
  • Supporting people with a learning disability to be part of their local communities
  • Lobbying the government to change laws so that more and more people with a learning disability can have control over their own lives

Speak Out in Hounslow

A charity supporting adults with learning disabilities to speak out and be heard. They provide outings and support groups for people with LD including visits to the theatre, a book club, arts and crafts and exercise groups.
